Did anyone read what I wrote? Western countries claimed to be ‘ready’ when the epidemic came their way, early 2020. But it seemed they hadn’t read anything journalists in China reported. Western governments such as the Dutch greatly underestimated the deadly new coronavirus. I wrote down my frustration for Villamedia Magazine, a Dutch monthly for journalism professionals.
